If your video is going to be longer than 90 minutes, then you should use Quicktime to record your video. Use this current help article as guidance.
From your applications, open QuickTime
Click "File" in the nav bar, then click "New Movie Recording"
Click the "Record" button
When done, click the "Stop" button
