It is possible to attach a closed caption file to a video in Edthena. Once the caption file is attached to the video, Edthena will automatically display the captions when the video plays.
To clarify, you cannot create captions for your videos inside Edthena, you can only attach the caption file to a video for display during playback. Two websites to consider that can create the VTT caption files for your video are https://www.happyscribe.com/ and https://www.rev.com/.

1. Inside your Libraries, click Edit beneath the video you want to caption

2. Click Attach files to attach the caption file
2.1. Note: The caption file MUST be a WebVTT file (extension .vtt)


3. Click Save Edits

4. When the video is played, the captions will automatically appear below the video
