There are two parts of the transfer process after clicking the "Initiate Transfer" button.
Part 1: Edthena finalizes portfolio
Edthena must prepare the portfolio materials in a way that can be processed by the Pearson server. Typically this process takes Edthena less than five minutes.
Part 2: Pearson processes portfolio
After Edthena notifies Pearson that the portfolio is ready, they must come pick it up from the Edthena server and then process the materials again.
The timing of this is dependent on how many other candidates around the country are asking to transfer a portfolio to Pearson from any Approved Platform Provider. It usually takes less than four hours for Pearson to retrieve and process the portfolio.
Candidates should allow up to 24 hours for a portfolio to be completely transferred before requesting technical support.
