Leveled Indicators are an aspect of Explorations that help focus the feedback provided to teachers by highlighting specific strands of a framework. Coaches can record a teacher's proficiency on a skill, and teachers can see that in the context of the performance target for the particular Exploration.
Below is an overview of what the process looks like.
Admins pick framework row and target level
When creating an Exploration, admins select rows of a framework against which coaches will record the teachers' proficiency.
As part of this process, admins can also set a "target level" indicating the current expectations for skills mastery.

Coaches select current level based on evidence
Coaches pick a level for each row when providing feedback on a teacher's Exploration. There's also a place to add additional text-based feedback.

Teachers receive contextualized feedback
When teachers view the feedback from their coach, they see where they are currently in the context of the target level set by the admin.

In the details view, the teacher can see the detailed descriptors for the framework row (if available) and also the text notes from the coach.

Spot trends and teacher growth patterns
Coaches and teachers can track progress on each Leveled Indicator from the Stats tab of the group.
